the civil-war era, my Elegance Collection
Carpet-Bag is a dream-come-true creation
in every way!
The fabric on this one is a heavenly damask
concoction of feminine pink and a wonderful
neutral tan with just enough of a hint of
celedon! Trimmed perfectly with a textural
coordinate featuring a lovely vine and leaf
pattern.
This is THE tote for the woman on the go
... ever so versatile for traveling and
shopping. Perfect for attending shows and
conventions and it transitions easily from
day to night and from casual chic to elegant
evening wear.
The Elegance Carpet-Bag is not only beautiful,
it's hard-working too! Large enough to comfortably
carry everything! The shoulder strap comes
with a removeable padded shoulder slip to
make it even more comfy.
Detailed to further perfection with a zippered
top and magnetic closure under the generous
front tab, for total security. The upper
band accomodates dowel rods (included, of
course!) for more stability if desired,
or you can leave them out if you like the
softer appearance. The sides snap together
to keep everything snug inside and easy
to carry, easy to access, and easy to expand
when neccessary! (to carry all those extras
you pick up in your travels and treasure
hunting!)
This bag is fully lined in a coordinating
heavy duty brushed twill, complete with
four generous interior pockets.
The carpet bag can be worn soft and flexible,
but for added strength and stability (when
carrying a heavy load!) insert the included
dowel rods in the top upper casing alongside
the zipper.
Finishing off this beauty are the faux leather handles (leather available upon request, at additional charge) and the lovely vintage inspired buttons on each of the side tabs, and a surprise coordinating large fabric covered button on the center tab. A lovely coordinating zipper pull and tassel complete this bag with flair.
This bag may look delicate, but it's quite
durable. Treated for stain and water resistance,
and constructed to provide years of service.
The rigid bottom insert helps maintain the
integrity of the bags shape, and provides
a sturdy foundation for your cargo. Triple
stitched seams and multiple layers of fleece
interlining provide further stability and
foundation for your beautiful treasure.
Your bag will be handcrafted for you upon
receipt of your paid order. Allow 14 to 21
days for construction as this bag has many features. Please advise if
your purchase is to be a gift or if you
need a special delivery timeframe. Each
bag is handcrafted by me (Dianne) individually,
in my smoke-free, pet-free in home studio.
