Mama's Pocketbook
Vintage Fabrics Collection One-of-a-kind designs incorporating vintage fabrics
coordinated and contrasted with complimentary fabrics,
trims, buttons and findings. These purses are offered
either as one-of-a-kinds or in a limited edition, but
each is handcrafted meticulously. I use only the finest
materials. Any vintage fabric I use is checked closely
for strength, and there will be no stains or irregularities
in the fabric. I use layers of flannel and fleece interfacings,
each item will have double stitched and serged or french
seams for durability, all pressure points are reinforced,
and all closures are secured so as not to harm the fabric
with repeated use. Bags that are designed to stand on
their own will also have a rigid removable bottom insert.
My pocketbooks and bags and other handcrafted items are
beautiful, unique, original and made with love and are
made to last, season after season, with superior construction
techniques!

I've created this One-Of-A-Kind "Carrie"
style purse from a beautiful piece of vintage
natural colored linen featuring a soft palette
of tan and denim blue fall leaves and berries.
The season is changing and it's time to
treat yourself to a great new purse unlike
any other! This Carrie is a one-of-a-kind
original that cannot be reproduced! Created
from a treasured remnant of vintage linen
that I've been holding onto for the perfect
project.
The Linen Leaves print goes perfectly
with jeans or your favorite skirt (think
Amy Butler's Barcelona Skirt!! I can just
see you browsing the fall festivals and
craft shows with this super comfy purse.
The perfect handles with softly gathered
calico over thick cotton cording are comfy
in your hand or over your shoulder, and
are just the right length for both!
When I came across the unique and intricately
tatted cotton cluny lace I knew it was the
perfect trim for this fabric. Adding another touch of contrast is the coordinated vintage gingham check linen band accenting the top of the purse.
This treasured Carrie also features a perfectly
coordinated calico leaf print on my handmade
piping, as the inner lining, and on the
ever so feminine runched fabric handles!
Finishing off this all-vintage creation
is a beautiful array of carefully selected
vintage buttons from my personal collection.
Seven different buttons adorn the front
band, including the surprise of one very
rare, perfectly matched, blue metal button
with a large rhinestone centerpiece!
A discrete little velcro tab secures your purse on the inside and it is reinforced for strength so you will never damage your exclusive fabric Mama's Pocketbook. Of course it also comes with a matching tissue cover, as all original Mama's Pocketbooks do!
